Backblast Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 19, 2026 (Established: September 17, 2026)

Yukinon Lab ("we") establishes this Privacy Policy regarding the handling of user information in the Android application "Backblast" ("App").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information collected by us

The App does not require account registration, and we do not directly collect or transmit any personal information (name, email address, location, etc.). The App has no free-text input and does not hold permissions to use location, camera, microphone or contacts. However, for ad delivery, Google AdMob collects information such as the Advertising ID (see 1.3).

1.2 Network communication

The App connects to the internet in order to deliver ads via Google AdMob (for which it holds the INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permissions). We operate no servers of our own, and never send game progress or usage data to our servers or to any third party's servers that we manage. The App's internet communication is limited to what is described in 1.3 (ad delivery).

1.3 Ads (third party: Google AdMob)

The App shows one Google AdMob interstitial ad (a full-screen ad) when you close the match result screen and move on. This is not a rewarded ad that grants in-game items for watching, and there is no restriction that blocks progress until an ad is watched (if an ad has not finished loading, the App simply moves on without showing one).

For ad delivery, Google may automatically collect the following information:

  • Advertising ID
  • IP address and approximate location
  • Device information (model, OS version, etc.)
  • Ad display and interaction data

See Google's Privacy Policy and Advertising by Google for details. You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

We operate no servers of our own and never obtain or store game data or personal information. The App's network communication is limited to Google AdMob, for ad delivery.

2. Consent for Ads (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

If you use the App from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the App checks your consent status at launch via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) and, only when required, shows a form asking whether you consent to personalized ads and the related data processing. In other regions, this form is not shown.

  • Declining consent still leaves every game feature fully available. Ads are simply shown as non-personalized ads, and game progress is never blocked
  • The record of your consent is stored on your device by Google's UMP. We do not obtain this record
  • The App does not yet have a screen to change your consent choice. To choose again, clear the App's data in your device settings or reinstall the App (the consent form will appear again, as on first launch). Regardless of region, you can opt out of personalized ads or reset your Advertising ID at any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads)
  • In regions where consent is required, the App does not initialize the Google Mobile Ads SDK or request any ads until consent is obtained

3. Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following information only on your device (using PlayerPrefs, a feature of the Unity game engine):

  • Settings (volume, camera sensitivity, graphics quality, screen shake, vibration on/off, etc.)
  • Game progress (stages cleared, personal bests and high scores, selected difficulty)
  • Lifetime stats (matches played, wins and losses, etc.)
  • In-game points (BP), cosmetic skins obtained, and equipment loadouts
  • The layout of the touch control buttons

This information is never sent to us or to any third party.

4. Device Permissions

4.1 Vibration (VIBRATE)

The App briefly vibrates your device to give tactile feedback (for example when you launch a missile, defeat an opponent, or are defeated; each vibration lasts less than 0.1 seconds). For this it uses the Android VIBRATE permission. This permission is granted automatically at install time, and no permission prompt is shown.

You can turn vibration off at any time with the "振動" (Vibration) option in the App's settings (the App's screens are in Japanese). No information is sent externally for vibration.

4.2 Permissions related to ads (Google AdMob)

For ad delivery, the Google Mobile Ads SDK declares the following permissions.

  • Internet access and checking the network state (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE)
  • Advertising ID (AD_ID)
  • Android Privacy Sandbox related permissions (ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID, _ATTRIBUTION, _TOPICS). These are declared by Google's ad SDK, and we never use them directly ourselves
  • Keeping the device awake (WAKE_LOCK). Used internally by the ad SDK

All of these are "normal" permissions, and no permission prompt is shown at runtime.

4.3 Components used for Google Play delivery

The App includes a component for receiving game data from Google Play (Play Asset Delivery). This component declares permissions that do not show a prompt (such as keeping the device awake).

5. Google Play

Downloads and updates of the App are handled by Google Play. Information involved in that process is handled under Google's Privacy Policy.

If you have allowed sharing of usage and diagnostics data in your device settings, Android may send information such as App crashes to Google. We may view statistics that do not identify you (such as install counts and the number and details of crashes) in the Google Play Console.

6. How Information Is Used

Information stored on your device is used solely to carry your settings and game progress over to the next launch. Statistics viewed in the Google Play Console are used only for fixing bugs and improving the App's behavior.

Information collected by Google AdMob is used only for ad delivery, fraud prevention, and measuring ad performance. We do not directly obtain or store this information.

7. Data Deletion

Data on your device is deleted by uninstalling the App, or by using "Clear storage" in the App info screen of your device settings. Since no data exists on our servers, there is no need to contact us for deletion. You can also erase your lifetime stats and your Operation progress and personal bests from the "戦績" (Career) screen in the App.

Note that if you have enabled backup to Google in your device settings, Android's Auto Backup feature may save the data above to your Google Account and restore it when you reinstall the App or switch devices. These backups are managed by Google, and we cannot see their contents. To delete them, use the backup management for your Google Account (such as Google One).

You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads). To redo your consent choice (EEA, UK, and Switzerland), see Section 2.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13 (we ourselves do not directly collect personal information from any user).

9. Changes to This Policy

This Policy may be revised in response to legal changes or new App features. When its content changes, we will update this page and revise the Last Updated date at the top. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
