FingerMate Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern the use of the FingerMate application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Article 1 (Applicability)
- These Terms apply to all relationships between users and the developer regarding the App.
- The developer may establish additional rules ("Individual Provisions") for the App. Such Individual Provisions form part of these Terms.
- If these Terms conflict with Individual Provisions, Individual Provisions shall prevail unless otherwise specified.
Article 2 (Service Content)
2.1 App Features
- Repertoire management: register, edit, delete, search, and favorite songs
- Chromatic tuner: real-time pitch detection via microphone with 6-string highlight display
- Metronome: BPM settings, tap tempo, beep sound generation via AudioTrack
- Practice recording: record, play back, and manage practice recordings linked to songs
- Settings: theme, reference pitch, tuning management, language
The App is provided as a tool to support solo guitarists in practice and management. The developer does not guarantee that the App will fully meet user expectations.
Article 3 (Registration)
- Registration is considered complete upon installing and first launching the App.
- The developer may reject registration in the following cases: providing false information, previously violating these Terms, or any other case deemed inappropriate.
Article 4 (Microphone Usage)
- The tuner and practice recording features require the RECORD_AUDIO permission on Android.
- The tuner feature uses the microphone only for real-time pitch detection and does not send or store audio data on external servers.
- Recording files from the practice recording feature are stored only on the device and are never sent to external servers.
- Users may deny the microphone permission, but the tuner and recording features will not be available.
Article 5 (Pro Plan)
- The App offers a Pro plan purchasable through Google Play Billing.
- Purchasing the Pro plan unlocks ad-free experience, analog needle tuner, and pendulum metronome features.
- Pro plan purchases, management, and refunds are subject to Google Play policies.
Article 6 (Prohibited Actions)
Users must not engage in the following when using the App:
Actions violating laws or public morals
- Registering repertoire information containing illegal, harmful, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate content
- Infringing others' copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
Unauthorized reproduction/redistribution
- Decompiling, disassembling, or reverse engineering the App's source code
- Unauthorized copying, distribution, or modification of the App
Other prohibited actions
- Actions that damage or interfere with the developer's servers or networks
- Actions that may interfere with App operations
Article 7 (Service Suspension)
- The developer may suspend or interrupt all or part of the App without prior user notice.
- The developer accepts no responsibility for any disadvantage or damage suffered by users or third parties due to such suspension.
Article 8 (Disclaimer of Warranties)
- The developer makes no express or implied warranties that the App is free from defects (including defects in safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, security, errors, or bugs).
- The developer accepts no responsibility for any damages caused to users by the App.
Article 9 (Withdrawal)
Users may withdraw by uninstalling the App. All data stored on the device (repertoire, recording files, and settings) will be deleted upon uninstallation.
Article 10 (Service Changes)
The developer may change the content of or discontinue the App without notice, and accepts no responsibility for damages to users arising therefrom.
Article 11 (Changes to Terms)
- The developer may amend these Terms without individual user consent when the amendment is in the general interest of users or when there is a reasonable justification for the change.
- The developer will notify users of any such amendments in advance, including the amended content and its effective date.
Article 12 (Personal Information)
The developer shall handle personal information obtained through use of the App appropriately in accordance with the developer's Privacy Policy.
Article 13 (Governing Law / Jurisdiction)
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
- For any disputes relating to the App, the court having jurisdiction over the developer's principal place of business shall have exclusive agreed jurisdiction.
