SoulDig

SoulDig Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 16, 2026

Yukinon Lab ("we") establishes this Privacy Policy regarding the handling of user information in the Android application "SoulDig" ("App").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information collected by us

The App does not require account registration, and we do not collect or transmit any personal information (name, email address, location, etc.). Game progress data (floors reached, relics obtained, upgrades, settings) is stored on the user's device and is never sent to our servers (we operate no servers).

However, to improve the game, the App sends anonymous usage statistics that do not identify you to Google's Firebase (see 1.4).

1.2 Information collected by third parties (advertising)

The App displays rewarded ads via Google AdMob (video ads that users choose to watch voluntarily). For ad delivery, Google may automatically collect the following information:

  • Advertising ID
  • IP address and approximate location
  • Device information (model, OS version, etc.)
  • Ad display and interaction data

See Google's Privacy Policy and Advertising by Google for details. Users can reset their Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

1.3 Play Games Services (optional, v0.6 and later)

The App supports Google Play Games Services. Signing in is optional, and every feature remains available without signing in. The App does not display dialogs prompting you to sign in.

Only if you sign in, the following information is sent to Google Play Games Services:

  • Achievement progress (unlocks of achievements defined within the App)
  • Leaderboard scores (deepest floor reached per dungeon, and daily challenge floor reached)
  • Cloud save (Saved Games) contents: souls, personal best records, codex, achievements, lifetime statistics, permanent upgrade and star-soul tree levels, and appearance-related settings (the state of a run in progress is not included)
  • Your Play Games player ID and display name (managed by Google)

This information is stored on Google's servers and is never sent to our servers. For how it is handled, see Google's Privacy Policy and the Play Games Services terms of service.

A cloud save is restored only when you explicitly choose "Settings → Play Games → Restore from cloud"; data on your device is never overwritten automatically.

1.4 Usage analytics (Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics, v0.7 and later)

To understand where players struggle or stop playing, and to use that for balance tuning and bug fixing, the App uses Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics) and Firebase Crashlytics provided by Google. The following information is sent:

  • Gameplay numbers and categories: floors reached, run duration and how the run ended, IDs of relics and upgrades chosen, and how often features such as the daily challenge, ascension and rewarded ads are used
  • App operation data: launches and sessions, the time and stack trace of crashes or abnormal exits, device model, OS version, App version and language
  • An anonymous installation ID issued by Firebase (generated per app, and never linked to your Google account or Advertising ID)

Not sent: name, email address, contacts, location, Advertising ID, or your Play Games display name. The App has no free-text input, so nothing you type is ever transmitted. Analytics data is never used for ad personalization.

  • In the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics and crash data are not collected until you give consent in the form described in Section 2. You can withdraw consent at any time via "Settings → About → Privacy settings", after which collection stops
  • In other regions, by using the App you agree to the transmission of the statistics above. If you wish to stop it, please uninstall the App (contact us and we will explain your options individually)
  • The statistics are stored on Google's servers, and we view aggregated results in the Firebase console. Data is retained for at most 14 months

For how Firebase handles data, see Privacy and Security in Firebase.

1.5 Announcements (Firebase Remote Config)

The App uses Firebase Remote Config to show announcements and recommended-version notices on the altar screen. When fetching, the anonymous installation ID above together with the App version and language are sent to Google, solely to receive the announcement content.

We operate no servers of our own and never obtain or store game data or personal information. The App communicates only with Google (ads, Play Games Services, Google Play, and Firebase).

2. Consent for Ads (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

If you use the App from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the App displays a consent form powered by Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) on first launch. In this form you can choose whether to consent to personalized ads and the related data processing.

  • Declining consent still leaves every game feature fully available. Even if rewarded ads cannot be watched, game progress is never blocked
  • Your choice can be changed or withdrawn at any time via "Settings → About → Privacy settings" in the App (this item appears only in regions where consent management is required)
  • The record of your consent is stored on your device by Google's UMP. We do not obtain this record

Until consent is obtained, the App does not initialize the Google Mobile Ads SDK or request any ads.

3. In-App Purchases (Supporter Pack)

The App offers a one-time in-app purchase, the "Supporter Pack".

  • Payment and purchase history are handled entirely by Google Play. We never obtain or store payment information such as credit card numbers
  • The App handles only the purchase token and purchase state returned by Google Play. These are stored solely on your device and are never sent to our servers (the App communicates with no server other than Google's: Google Play and Firebase)
  • Refunds follow Google Play's policies. Please request them via Google Play Help or your Google Play order history
  • The purchase provides ad removal, cosmetic themes and effects, and expanded statistics. It includes nothing that affects gameplay power, such as difficulty or gain rates
  • Purchase state is not removed by "Settings → Reset Data" in the App. With the same Google account, you can recover it after reinstalling via "Restore purchases"

4. How Information Is Used

Information collected by third parties is used only for delivering rewarded ads, fraud prevention, and measuring ad performance. We do not directly obtain or store this information.

Usage statistics collected via Firebase are used solely for balance tuning, feature improvement, bug fixing and delivering announcements. They are never used to identify individual users, nor sold or provided to third parties.

5. Notifications

The App uses local notifications to inform you about exploration status. Notifications can be disabled at any time in the App settings or device settings. No information is sent externally for notifications.

6. Data Deletion

Game progress data is completely deleted from your device via "Settings → Reset Data" in the App, or by uninstalling the App. Since no data exists on our servers, there is no need to contact us for deletion. Note that in-app purchase entitlements are managed by Google Play and are not removed by "Reset Data".

Achievements, leaderboard scores, and cloud saves sent to Play Games Services are retained by Google. To delete them, remove the App's data via "Settings → Delete Play Games data" in the Play Games app, or use your Google Account data controls. We have no means of accessing this data and therefore cannot delete it on your behalf.

Usage statistics already sent to Firebase are aggregated in a form that cannot identify you, so they cannot be deleted for an individual user. Uninstalling the App discards the anonymous installation ID and stops any further transmission. Data older than the retention period (at most 14 months) is deleted automatically.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at any specific age group and does not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Policy may be revised in response to legal changes or new App features. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
